I change the mx in panel, wait cron and try to send email.

I have this back message

Why are you using a domain name that you don't own? Reconfigure your server to use a domain name that you control.

you should have to change your domain name with your one not keep the ovh subdomain as main domain.
you should configure your domain (if you can) with your correct NS and configure your server with your domain (and your IP).

for exemple you'll cannot have the dtc.ksxxx.kimsuffi.com subdomain, but you are strongly invited to configure to have dtc.yourdomain.tld

in another way ovh aare really really not m friends, far of it.
there are some post on the forum about the reason.

Seems you still don't understand the issue here.

If you are trying to use mx.kimsufi.com it means that you OWN THE DOMAIN kimsufi.com and want to make some email@kimsufi.com. Unless you are buying kimsufi.com for you own, you wont be able to do this.

So start over, reinstall your server as all values are wrong in all the software that you have installed, and do the necessary things to change your hostname BEFORE installing anything in a server (which all sane network administrator would do).

By the way, i consider that this is a wrong configuration of your default hostname, as OVH shouldn't be giving you just a hostname, but a full domain to play with. Seems even them, they don't understand such a simple concept.

No i understand the issue here.

In fact for use with my Plesk server two years ago and worked the mail knowing that I was using the domain ks35xxxx.kimsufi.com I thought it was possible to do with DTC, just a guess.

But thank you you replied I'll correct my problem.
Thank you again

configure your domain name to have your IP on it (different way depending your registar)
configure your server (from the OS) with your right domain name
configure your host files to be able to manage all your IP on the server
and after you could install DTC correctly, with your right NS and MX settings, and SSL for your control panel.

it's impossible to compare plesk and DTC. In fact there are two hosting control panel, but DTC is not intrusive, DTC let you do what you (ou presque) want with your apps and instaal the mail system you prefer.
plesk you can't you just have what plesk would give you and that's all.

i had used plesk, direct admin, and so on, i know what about i say. (else i also had dedicated server in ovh then ... i know what they are)

Iam so happy to use DTC, you right DTC is not intrusive.

Do not insist here, I'm telling you that semanticaly, you are doing things wrongly (trying to take over a domain name that you do not own). While I do, you are saying that Plesk can, and DTC doesn't. First, this is wrong, if this is intrinsecly a bad setup in general (with your server's domain being kimsufi.com, so you are trying to receive emails for the @kimsufi.com domain), it is wrong for both DTC and Plesk, cPanel, whatever... Then I believe that with BOTH solutions (plesk and DTC) you could succeed in having a BROKEN setup as you ask, with other domains working and receiving emails. But I don't think this is what you want.

Please, do as I said. Reinstall YOUR SYSTEM from scratch, then configure a correct domain and hostname, then install DTC on it. A correct config could be:

/etc/hostname: mx.whatever.kimsufi.com
DTC panel: dtc.whatever.kimsufi.com

this way you ca receive email@whatever.kimsufi.com for the root account, cron jobs, mdadm, support tickets, renewals, webmaster, etc. (which you can't with your setup)

Or do it with a domain that you own.

personnaly i think you should not use xxx.kimsiffu.tld, you should use your domain name, the one you own.

and ovh are cheap yes, but ... i let you find some ovh thread on this forum, you'll see.

Come on guys, OVH is not that bad, but the truth is, that it seems bad to modify the server name in the configuration files, but it's just logic !

but it's really personnal.
