also, where does squirrelmail need to be installed?
You don't have permission to access /squirrelmail/src/ on this server. |

Well, is it packaged in Gentoo? The panel just uses what is available in Debian, maybe it needs to be adapted to Gentoo a bit...

You might want to protect this with a .htaccess!!! In dtc/admin/.htaccess, enter this:
| Code: |
AuthName "DTC root control panel login!"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /var/www/sites/.htpasswd
require valid-user |

that file is there and has that configuration. i am looking into that further.
gentoo will install squirellmail to /var/www/localhost as default, but i can configure where it will be installed, i just need to know where i should tell it to install. |

In Debian, it's in /usr/share/squirrelmail
Now for your .htaccess, you should have a look at your toplevel Apache configuration, it might not be accepting the htaccess thing...

alright, good, everything is falling into place, now,
email still isn't working... and the only service that DTC can seem to see running is bind... but what bothers me more is that email isn't working, i will try to get squirrelmail installed in the mean time... do you want me to give you an unprivileged ssh account to check out the topology and tell me where it might be chocking up? |

here are some warnings i get in the Deamons states panel:
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to 10.11.12.13:110 (Connection timed out) in /usr/share/dtc/shared/inc/fetchmail.php on line 63
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to 10.11.12.13:25 (Connection timed out) in /usr/share/dtc/admin/deamons_state.php on line 161
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to 10.11.12.13:21 (Connection timed out) in /usr/share/dtc/admin/deamons_state.php on line 206
why is it trying to connect to 10.11.12.13? |
